A Note From The Principal
Dear Roosevelt Families,
I hope you are all having a wonderful start to the school year! Our teachers and students are settled in, their routines and procedures in place, and have been working hard and learning so much in the first few weeks of school. A great topic to talk with your child about is our PBIS expectations throughout the school and what they look like and sound like in different areas of the building. You also could ask and talk about the various Conscious Discipline strategies they may be using such as the brain smart start, breathing, their classroom family, etc. We did an all-school roll out of our PBIS expectations in all areas of the school a few weeks ago! Keep an eye out each month for PBIS and Conscious Discipline tips and information in this newsletter to continue to learn more (check out this month’s to learn how you can create a safe spot at home!).
Our first school Family Night will take place on Monday, October 9th from 5:00-6:30 at Roosevelt. You should have already received information and an invitation to RSVP in your child’s backpack. Families will participate in various math and literacy activities to see what some of our literacy and math learning looks like during the school day. We will also celebrate completing One School, One Book. We look forward to seeing you there!
More information on our Fall celebrations will come a little later in October. Stay tuned!

We have been so fortunate to have received a large donation of socks and underwear from Oshkosh Mid-Morning Kiwanis. If any children in the household are in need of socks or underwear please let Ms. Martin know what sizes you need and she will send them home discreetly with your student.

Bring Back the Fall Dance!
THE PTO STILL NEEDS YOUR HELP! With a tentative date set for October 26th, they are still looking for volunteers to make this happen and there are many different jobs that still need to be filled. The jobs and treats have been
modified due to a current lack of volunteers. Please sign up using this link by OCTOBER 6, and we will know by OCTOBER 9 if there was enough interest to get this fun event officially on the calendar! There will be some cool
Roosevelt gear as prizes for those who have signed up to help.
