A Note From The Principal
Dear Roosevelt Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful, relaxing and fun spring break… and are settling back into a routine and schedule as we head into the final stretch of the school year. It is so crazy to think that we have 9 weeks of school left this year.. The time is going to fly by!
The first week in April kicks of Support Staff Appreciation Week! At Roosevelt, we spend this week recognizing all of our amazing support staff members in our building including paraprofessionals, custodians, office staff, health assistants, lunch servers, and crossing guards. We could not do the work we do everyday without them! Their dedication, strong work ethic, smiling faces, and passion for helping our students helps make our school a wonderful place to be. If you see any of those staff members this week, please give them an extra thank you for all they do each day!
Forward Exam testing will be taking place throughout the month of April for students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. Please avoid scheduling appointments for your son or daughter during their testing dates/times if at all possible, especially in the morning as that is when we will begin testing each day. Feel free to contact your child’s teacher if you need specific testing times for a specific day. Students will do practice tests with their teachers ahead of time. The best preparation for them is to continue to learn at school. At home, help to ensure your student gets a good night's sleep before testing and eats breakfast. The general testing schedule is as follows:
-
3rd Grade: April 5-11
-
4th Grade: April 12-19
-
5th Grade: April 5-11
Sincerely,
Kristin Burgert
